Secondary School Teaching

I teach pupils from Key Stage 3 through to A-Level, specialising in textiles within the Design and Technology curriculum. My lessons combine real-world creative experience with classroom expertise, helping students understand the relevance and potential of textiles in both artistic and professional contexts. I design sessions that are inclusive, engaging, and carefully structured to build confidence alongside technical skill.

My teaching style is calm, attentive, and student-led. I encourage independent thinking, reflective practice, and pride in practical achievement. I support pupils in exploring the full design process, from initial concepts through to construction, embellishment, and evaluation.

I am available for hire as a guest teacher or workshop leader in secondary schools and colleges. I offer one-off or short-term sessions that focus on practical skills, portfolio development, or industry insight. My approach is flexible and collaborative, designed to complement and enhance existing schemes of work while introducing students to real creative career pathways.
